My Cool Christian Boyfriend

Here's why I love this episode so much:

1. The fact that Moby "opens" for the pastor and then how cool the pastor is and how good he is at getting people's attention and then presenting a truth (reminds me of Oasis, except I don't think Pastor Philip would ever ask us to say, "I hate God.")

2. When Mindy's down on herself about how she was only "doing good" to impress a pastor, and Danny goes, "Well, the church people only do good things to impress God, and he's a guy." AH! Truth, anyone? Seriously.

3. When Mindy's second prisoner just wanted to know what's going on with Real Housewives....... I'm like, are these writers Christians? Do they know how God works, because that is how he works for real.--> We finally give of ourselves to serve God in some way, and he ends up using exactly the quirky way he made us, to help someone, and we end up liking it. This was such a good reminder to me as I've been trying to find a place to serve at church, something that's semi-my interests but mostly that will fit into my crazy odd job and acting schedule. And I know God's like, "Tracy, put me first, and your gifts will be used, and your schedule will work out just as it should." But I'm like, "But God! I can't commit to every Sunday."

4. The Haiti reference. Just today, I had a friend text me to let me know she's going to Haiti in a week to do this mission work stuff, and I'm like, DUDE, this is so Christians today, always going to Haiti, and I really wonder if any of these writers are Christian or if they're friends with Christians, or maybe Haiti just really is the main place that needs help right now, and I should be going there too.

Are there any Christian TV writers? I'm going to Google that right now. Hang on.

.........................................

Okay this is too difficult of a search, but I did come across a somewhat interesting article about Bible discussion on Glee.

Why It's a Big Deal

I am so getting into this show. And that's saying a lot because I haven't liked a comedic TV show that's currently on the air in FOREVER.

These are my favorite comedy shows / sitcoms:

1. (oh, but this is not in order. only in order of how they're appearing in my brain right now) Freaks and Geeks

2. Everybody Loves Raymond

3. Cosby Show

4. Friends (the first few seasons)

5. Full House

6. Step By Step

I think there's more, but I can't think of them right now. But anyways, as you can see, these are all old shows. I tried to watch the Michael J. Fox Show because I like Michael J. Fox, but even that wasn't working for me. I never got into Modern Family. I did sort of like Arrested Development, and I think that might be currently on the air again? But anyways, I am picky. I don't like this new style of making TV characters super outlandish and crazy, esp. when every single character is (see: The Middle, which my mom loves, but I don't get). Oh, I liked the Office, I should add that one.

7. The Office

So anyways, I meant to talk about how the Mindy ep I just watched is my favorite episode so far and why, but then I got off on this tangent of TV shows in general, so I think I will make this its own entry and start a new one here in a sec.

(Also I'm currently going through MP on Netflix, so I'm sorry these are not up-to-date posts. Yet.)
